Our goals through this website are:

  • To provide current information and resources to equip NMI leaders;
  • To provide current information regarding district mission events, such as deputation schedules of visiting missionaries, district convention, Missions Roundup, special services, Work & Witness and other opportunities for participation, etc;
  • To provide information and updates from LINKS missionaries;
  • To provide links to other mission resources and websites;
  • To increase global awareness, resulting in focused prayer, generous giving, and personal involvement.

OUR MISSION

To mobilize the church in mission through praying, educating, discipling and giving.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelization.
  2. To inform people of the world's needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs.
  3. To challenge children and youth to learn about and participate in the mission of the church.
  4. To raise funds for mission outreach.
The effects of the work of Nazarene Missions International are the accomplishment of the above objectives and, consequently, our mission. The general NMI organization exists to serve as a resourcing agent for information and materials to both the district and local NMI organizations and to serve as a connection between the missionary and the supporting church. The district NMI exists to serve the local church by providing resources to assist in accomplishing the objectives of Nazarene Missions International; to serve as the link between the local and general NMI organizations; and to serve as the official reporting agency for local churches to the Global NMI Office.

EMPHASES

The purpose of the emphases is to serve as vehicles for involvement in missions to:
  1. Reach the lost;
  2. Resource and encourage the local and global church;
  3. Resource and encourage the missionary;
  4. Educate and enhance the synergistic church. (Synergy: Combined action or operation resulting in greater efficiency and impact.)

DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Pray...read...adapt...be teachable...attend all training opportunities...think...share. Be willing
  • to toss what doesn't work;
  • to listen to others;
  • to take risks;
  • to make personal sacrifices.
